Volleyball Game Preview: Ryan Raiders vs. Grapevine Mustangs + How To Watch

Ryan is 0-10 against Grapevine since November of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Raiders will look to defend their home court against the Mustangs at 6:30 p.m.

On Friday, Ryan didn't have quite enough to beat Richland and fell 3-2.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Ryan sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-23, 20-25, 25-22, 20-25, 18-16.

Ryan might have lost, but man, Abigail Vasquez was a machine: she had 27 digs and nine assists. Vasquez is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 16 games she's played.

Meanwhile, it looked like the Kentucky Derby when Grapevine faced off against Denton on Friday. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Broncos.

One reason for the win was Grapevine's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-16, 25-9.

Grapevine has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-17 record this season. As for Ryan, their loss dropped their record down to 17-19.
