Volleyball Recap: Harding Raiders vs. John F. Kennedy Catholic Eagles

Harding unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the John F. Kennedy Catholic Eagles on Monday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Harding took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-12, 25-16.

Jane Faulk paced Harding's offense, picking up five kills. Faulk got some help from Alaina Wagner and her nine assists.

John F. Kennedy Catholic found their leader in sophomore Gabrielle Consiglio, who had eight aces and six digs. Consiglio is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Rylie Gillespie was another key player, getting seven digs and four aces.

John F. Kennedy Catholic's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-0.
