Preview: Unaka Rangers vs. Cloudland Highlanders
The Unaka Rangers will head out on the road to face off against the Cloudland Highlanders at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Unaka has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Tuesday, Unaka earned a 49-41 win over Cosby.
Unaka's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Haley Taylor, who scored ten points along with six assists and two steals. Another player making a difference was Emma Taylor, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Cloudland put another one in the bag on January 8th to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Mitchell, posting a 70-23 win on the road. Cloudland has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 23 points or more this season.
Unaka's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-14. As for Cloudland, they pushed their record up to 10-0 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Unaka took a serious blow against Cloudland when the teams last played on January 5th, falling 59-24. Can Unaka avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
