Recap: Sierra Linda Bulldogs vs. Central Bobcats
The Sierra Linda Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They took a hard 59-45 fall against Central. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Sierra Linda of the 48-41 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2023.
It was another big night for Lia Sims, who dropped a double-double on 41 points and ten rebounds for Central. That makes it 18 consecutive games in which Sims has scored at least a third of Central's points. Another player making a difference was Shakeira Mosley, who scored five points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Sierra Linda's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Central, their victory bumped their record up to 7-11.
Sierra Linda won't have much time to rest: their next match is against North Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th. As for Central, they will head out on the road to challenge Fairfax at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
