Volleyball Recap: Four Straight Home Wins for Shenandoah

Shenandoah's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Union County Patriots. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Raiders have posted against the Patriots since September 15, 2018.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (97-89) Shenandoah actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 12-25, 25-18, 12-25, 25-21, 15-8.

Shenandoah pushed their record up to 1-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Union County, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Shenandoah will take on Alexandria-Monroe at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Union County, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Knightstown at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Patriots' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
