Hawthorne Math & Science Academy won the last time they faced California Academy of Math & Science and things went their way on Monday too. The Aviators put the hurt on the Coyotes with a sharp 3-0 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Aviators have posted against the Coyotes since March 16, 2022.

While Hawthorne Math & Science Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-23, 25-20.

Hawthorne Math & Science Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. As for California Academy of Math & Science, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games.
