Volleyball Recap: First Flight Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

First Flight proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a set and slipped past the Catholic Crusaders 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Nighthawks have posted since September 19, 2024.

Ashlyn Hux paced First Flight's offense, picking up nine kills. Hux got some help from Savannah Schnader and her 23 assists. Megan Ward and Joslyn Felts kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

The win (which was First Flight's third in a row) raised their record to 3-7. As for Catholic, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-7 record.

First Flight wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Currituck County on the 13th. As for Catholic, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Salem on the 13th.
