Softball Recap: Hall Comes Up Short

Hall lost against Putnam County back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Red Devils fell 9-4 to the Panthers. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ava Delphi made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Caroline Morris, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Hall's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Putnam County, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hall will face off against Kewanee at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Red Devils will need to watch out since the Boilermakers have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests. As for Putnam County, they are taking a road trip to square off against Woodland at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
