Austin is 0-5 against Paoli since May of 2015 but things could change on Monday. The Eagles will square off against the Rams at 5:00 p.m. Austin knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Paoli likes a good challenge.
On Saturday, Austin got the win against Crothersville by a conclusive 18-7. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Teagan Cutshall was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Jordan Richie was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
Austin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Paoli beat Evansville Harrison 14-9 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.
Paoli got a massive performance out of Kalyn Hannon, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that Hannon has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Crews, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Austin's record is now 7-8. As for Paoli, their record now sits at 4-11.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Austin has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Paoli struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Austin might still be hurting after the 12-5 loss they got from Paoli in their previous meeting back in May of 2021. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
