Florence won the last time they faced Brooks and things went their way on Saturday too. Florence put the hurt on Brooks with a sharp 13-7 victory. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Florence got a massive performance out of Cooper Thomaston, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs Thomaston has posted over his last nine matches. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Solomon, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Florence always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
