Sterlington waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Haughton Buccaneers. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matches by six runs or more this season.

Sterlington's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Haughton, their loss dropped their record down to 16-15.

Looking ahead, Sterlington will challenge Marksville at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Haughton, they will face off against Northwood at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Buccaneers will need to watch out since the Falcons have now posted at least ten runs in their last four games.
