Baseball Recap: Pine Creek's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

The matchup between Pine Creek and Liberty on Tuesday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Eagles fell just short of the Lancers by a score of 12-11. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lancers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Aiden Wilson and Jake Holm stepped up to the plate in a big way. Wilson got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Holm went 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. Brayden Moreno also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Pine Creek moved to 8-3 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Liberty, their record now sits at 7-9.

While Pine Creek had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
