Basketball Recap: Alta Takes Down Ranked Mojave

Alta is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Mojave. The Hawks managed a 61-57 victory over the Rattlers.

When it comes to explaining why Mojave lost, don't look at Isabella Crawford. Despite the final result, she went 11-for-27 on her way to 25 points. Another player making a difference was Armonney Wright, who shot 56% from the field to rack up 12 points.

Alta's record now sits at 7-2. As for Mojave, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.

Alta will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Murray at 2:30 p.m. on the 31st. Mojave and Bakersfield Christian will round out the year against one another at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rattlers' defense better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 54.5 points per game this season.
