Volleyball Recap: Verdugo Hills Comes Up Short

Verdugo Hills lost against Grant back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Verdugo Hills came up short against Grant, falling 3-0. The Dons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Verdugo Hills was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Grant's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-18, 25-23.

Verdugo Hills now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Grant, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Verdugo Hills and Arleta will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Grant, they will face off against Sylmar at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Sylmar will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Grant surely won't give up without a fight.
