Baseball Recap: Red Land Triumphs

Red Land's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with an 11-7 victory over the Central Dauphin East Panthers. The Patriots' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Red Land let Lucas Elder and Jordon McCahan run wild. Elder scored a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances, while McCahan scored two runs while going 2-for-5. Those two hits gave McCahan a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bradley Minter, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-5.

Red Land's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Central Dauphin East, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-3-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Red Land is set to challenge their familiar foe Gettysburg at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Central Dauphin East will face off against rival Hershey at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
