Basketball Game Preview: Mt. Baker Mountaineers vs. Oak Harbor Wildcats

The Mt. Baker Mountaineers will take on the Oak Harbor Wildcats at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Mt. Baker will bounce into Friday's game after beating Nooksack Valley, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Mt. Baker walked away with a 59-47 win over Nooksack Valley on Wednesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Mountaineers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oak Harbor). They took down Blaine 82-67 on Monday.

Oak Harbor's win bumped their record up to 3-11. As for Mt. Baker, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
