Volleyball Recap: Moorefield Takes a Loss

Moorefield was the 3-0 winner over Petersburg when they last played one another back in October of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Yellow Jackets took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings on Tuesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-14.

Moorefield has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for Petersburg, their win bumped their record up to 11-8-1.

Coincidentally, Moorefield and Petersburg will both be playing Clay-Battelle the next time they take the court. The Vikings will host the Cee-Bees at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Yellow Jackets will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
