Soccer Recap: Desert Edge Comes Up Short

Desert Edge lost against Centennial back in December of 2017 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Desert Edge Scorpions might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Centennial Coyotes an easy 4-1 win. The Scorpions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their goal came courtesy of Abraham Mendoza, which was the first he's scored this season.

Desert Edge's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Centennial, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Desert Edge will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North Canyon at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025. After both having extra time off, Centennial and Youngker will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
