Volleyball Recap: Glendora's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

If Glendora was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Diamond Bar on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tartans fell just short of the Claremont Wolfpack by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The Tartans' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Glendora started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 22-25, 25-23, 25-19, 15-10.

Despite the loss, Glendora saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kaleia Zeits had 26 digs and three aces. Zeits is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 31 games she's played dating back to last season.

Riley Frandson had a dynamite game For Claremont., getting 20 digs and four aces. That's the most digs Frandson has posted since back in October of 2024.

Glendora's defeat dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Claremont, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Glendora will square off against Bonita at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Claremont, they will challenge Millikan on Saturday.
