Pine Island waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They never let the St. Croix Prep Lions get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by nine runs or more this season.

Pine Island got a massive performance out of Luke Sems, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run and five RBI. Mason Jasperson was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3.

Pine Island's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. As for St. Croix Prep, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pine Island will host Kasson-Mantorville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Croix Prep, they will welcome St. Croix Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
