After only two runs in their last contest, John Jay made sure to put some runs up on the board against Carmel on Wednesday. The Patriots were the clear victors by a 13-6 margin over the Rams. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Anthony Batkay looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Shane Driscoll was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and two doubles. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Austin Seipp also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.

John Jay was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Carmel only posted a batting average of .217.

John Jay's record is now 14-1. As for Carmel, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.

John Jay wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 12-1 win against Port Chester on the 10th. As for Carmel, they have also already played their next match, a 15-3 defeat against Yorktown on the 9th.
