Football Recap: Jim Ned's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Jim Ned fell victim to Wall and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Hawks, falling 24-0. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while the Hawks are ranked 109th).

Cash Gwinn threw for 133 yards on 13 of 28 attempts. Gavin Brooks was his top target, picking up 38 receiving yards. On the ground, Aiden Ellis rushed for 34 yards.

Landon York was the offensive standout of the match as he threw for 225 yards and three TDs. York is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: he's passed for at least three every time he's taken the field this season. Wall also got a significant boost from Brady Neal, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 96 yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Jim Ned fell to 2-1. As for Wall, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jim Ned will take on Jacksboro at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Wall, they will square off against Monahans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
