Recap: Crimson Cliffs Mustangs vs. Riverton Silverwolves

The Crimson Cliffs Mustangs were the 68-64 winner over the Riverton Silverwolves when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Crimson Cliffs was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 55-54 to Riverton. Crimson Cliffs has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Crimson Cliffs lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sean Felts. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. Drake Carroll was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Riverton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaden Allred, who scored eight points along with three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Barrus, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.

Crimson Cliffs now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Riverton, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

Crimson Cliffs and Cottonwood will face off at 1:30 p.m. on December 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Cottonwood knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully Crimson Cliffs likes a good challenge. Riverton and Snow Canyon will face off at 12:00 p.m. on December 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Snow Canyon is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 62.4 points per game.
