Baseball Recap: La Villa Has No Trouble Against IDEA Edinburg College Prep

La Villa's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They put the hurt on IDEA Edinburg College Prep with a sharp 15-0 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Cardinals considering their one-run performance the match before.

Andrew Gonzalez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Gonzalez was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aiden Rangel, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-1. Those runs were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Shawn Carranco, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
