It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Oviedo can now relate to. They took a 49-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Buchholz Bobcats on Thursday. The Lions' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Oviedo had strong showings from Sebastian Galeano, who threw for 471 yards and four TDs, and DaShon Febres, who picked up 244 receiving yards and three scores. A healthy portion of Galeano's aerial production (144 yards to be exact) also went to Jordan Donahoo, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Buchholz's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Andrew Whittemore, who threw for 225 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 80 yards and one TD on only five carries. Whittemore's longest rush was for an impressive 66 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Buchholz's leading receiver Justin Williams was Whittemore's top target yet again, picking up 156 receiving yards and a pair of scores, while also rushing for 34 yards and one touchdown.

Oviedo's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Buchholz, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

As of now, neither Oviedo nor the Bobcats have any future games scheduled.
