Volleyball Recap: California Academy of Math & Science Comes Up Short

After flying high against New Roads last Friday, California Academy of Math & Science came back down to earth. California Academy of Math & Science fell 3-1 to the Hawthorne Math & Science Academy Aviators on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Coyotes in their meetings with the Aviators: they've now lost seven in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-12, 19-25, 25-22.

California Academy of Math & Science's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Hawthorne Math & Science Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. California Academy of Math & Science will square off against Whitney at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hawthorne Math & Science Academy, they will face off against Vistamar at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hawthorne Math & Science Academy is facing Vistamar at the right time seeing as Vistamar is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
