Andalusia is 2-8 against Brantley since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Kailey Jackson was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She struck out eight batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, SK Reese was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-5.

Meanwhile, Brantley didn't have quite enough to beat Pike Liberal Arts on Friday and fell 4-3.

Brantley's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.3 runs. As for Andalusia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
