Soccer Recap: Cary-Grove Takes a Loss

Cary-Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Harvard Hornets. That's two games in a row now that Cary-Grove have lost by just one goal.

Their goal came courtesy of Cristian Bautista, who's now up to two this season.

Cary-Grove's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Harvard, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-4.

Coming up, Cary-Grove will face off against Warren Township at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Warren Township's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Cary-Grove's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Harvard, they will venture away from home to square off against Crystal Lake Central at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
