There's no place like home for Homer, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against the Kenai Central Kardinals by a score of 64-55 on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Mariners in their matchups with the Kardinals: they've now won three in a row.

Homer's record now sits at 6-12. As for Kenai Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Homer will host Nikiski at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kenai Central, they and Ninilchik will face off at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Ninilchik knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Kenai Central likes a good challenge.
