Baseball Recap: Worcester Tech Takes a Loss

Worcester Tech came into this matchup off a tough eight-run loss last Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Assabet Valley RVT Aztecs by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Aztecs recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Worcester Tech saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zachary Braconnier, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Worcester Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Assabet Valley RVT, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Worcester Tech will challenge Burncoat at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. The Eagles are facing the Patriots at the right time seeing as the Patriots are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Assabet Valley RVT, they will take on Montachusett RVT at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
