Volleyball Recap: Graves County Takes a Loss

Graves County was the 2-1 winner over Edwards County when they last played one another back in September of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions on Saturday.

Graves County was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-16.

Graves County has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Edwards County, they pushed their record up to 16-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Graves County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Marion on the 20th. As for Edwards County, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Massac County on the 20th.
