Softball Recap: Regis Comes Up Short

Regis extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 12 on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-11. They lost 19-2 to the Stanley-Boyd Orioles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Orioles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 on Tuesday.

Regis saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Justice Tait, who went 2-for-3 with one run. Chloe Cole also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

As for Stanley-Boyd, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1. The result was nothing new for the Orioles, who have now won ten matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

On Stanley-Boyd's side, the team relied heavily on Kelly Lew, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, four stolen bases, and five runs. The dominant performance also gave Lew a new career-high in RBI (four). Kendall Sikora was another key player, going 4-for-5 with four runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Regis didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 defeat against Elk Mound on the 7th. As for Stanley-Boyd, they have also already played their next game, a 12-4 victory against Thorp on the 7th.
