Volleyball Game Preview: Amboy Clippers vs. Milledgeville Missiles

Amboy hasn't had much luck against Milledgeville recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Clippers will take on the Missiles in a tournament on Saturday.

On Thursday, Amboy came up short against Polo and fell 2-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Milledgeville had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Raiders.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Milledgeville was: they took both sets by at least 20 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-4.

Milledgeville's victory bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Amboy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Saturday's contest: Amboy has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 5.7 aces per game. However, it's not like Milledgeville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.4 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.

Amboy couldn't quite get it done against Milledgeville in their previous meeting last Tuesday as they fell 2-0. Can the Clippers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
