Volleyball Recap: Warde Triumphs

Warde hadn't done well against Ludlowe recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Mustangs walked away with a 3-1 win over the Falcons. For the Mustangs, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Warde had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-13, 25-20, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Ludlowe still got an impressive performance from Collin Peckham, who had 14 digs and two assists.

The win got Warde back to even at 1-1. As for Ludlowe, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Coming up, Ludlowe is headed away from home for the first time to face off against St. Joseph at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Warde will be paying especially close attention to the Falcons' match: after the Falcons face off against Staples, they'll take on Warde again at 4:00 p.m. on May 7.
