Breckinridge County extended their winning streak to three on Monday, bumping their season record up to 11-7 in the process. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Daviess County Panthers. This was a revenge game for the Fighting Tigers: when they faced off against the Panthers back in March, they had to take a 8-5 loss.

Chase Hardesty looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Breckinridge County's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Harper Lucas, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

As for Daviess County, they dropped their record down to 10-9 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Panthers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Breckinridge County since on Monday.

On Daviess County's side, Logan Mewes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up 12 Ks.

Looking ahead, Breckinridge County is taking a road trip to face off against Hancock County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Fighting Tigers are facing the Hornets at the right time seeing as the Hornets are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Daviess County, they will host Owensboro Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
