Basketball Game Preview: Chadwick Dolphins vs. Lawndale Cardinals

The Chadwick Dolphins will be taking part in a tournament against the Lawndale Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Chadwick's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight matches.

Chadwick is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Valley View: they outscored them in every quarter. Chadwick put the hurt on Valley View with a sharp 69-49 win on Saturday. The Dolphins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Lawndale had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 77-63 victory over the Jackrabbits. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 360th, while the Jackrabbits are ranked 818th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lawndale has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for Chadwick, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.
