Volleyball Recap: Freedom Comes Up Short

Freedom was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Draughn Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-16, 27-29, 25-21.

Kaitlyn Hagmann paced Freedom's offense, picking up 19 kills. Hagmann got some help from Camryn Warlick and her 30 assists. Hagmann was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Freedom's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Draughn, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Freedom has already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against West Caldwell on the 19th. As for Draughn, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 win against South Caldwell on the 20th.
