Volleyball Recap: Coconut Creek Takes a Loss

Coconut Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the South Plantation Paladins. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.

While Coconut Creek was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into South Plantation's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-21, 26-24.

Coconut Creek's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for South Plantation, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

Looking ahead, Coconut Creek will host Monarch at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Knights will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. As for South Plantation, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Coral Glades at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Jaguars have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
