Volleyball Recap: Overton Has No Trouble Against Gladewater

Overton had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Gladewater on Friday. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 3-0 win. The Mustangs not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since August 12th (when they won 3-0).

While Overton might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Gladewater scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-23, 25-22.

Overton now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Gladewater, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

The future could be bright for both Overton and Gladewater: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Mustangs will look to extend Union Grove's three-game losing streak when they meet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Gladewater will try to hand Ore City their fourth-straight defeat when the two meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
