Volleyball Recap: Quitman Takes a Loss

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Tuesday. Quitman fell just short of Eustace by a score of 3-2. The loss continues a trend for Quitman in their meetings with Eustace: they've now lost four in a row.

Quitman took Eustace into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-17, 24-26, 16-25, 15-9.

Eustace can attribute much of their success to Adalyn Diaz De Leon, who had 16 digs. Those 16 digs gave Diaz De Leon a new career-high.

Quitman's defeat dropped their record down to 15-15. As for Eustace, they pushed their record up to 25-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Quitman will take on rival Winona at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Eustace is set to square off against their familiar foe Mineola at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
