Baseball Recap: Simsboro Has No Trouble Against Southwood

After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Simsboro brought some dynamite into their most recent match. They blew past the Southwood Cowboys 20-2 on Monday. With that win, the Tigers brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Chris Harrell was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and two RBI. Those two triples gave him a new career-high. Noah Thomas was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs.

Simsboro was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .481. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Southwood only posted a batting average of .250.

Simsboro now has a winning record of 15-14-1. As for Southwood, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-19.

As of now, neither Simsboro nor the Cowboys have any future games scheduled.
