Volleyball Recap: Carondelet Beats Pleasant Valley for Their Third Straight Win

Carondelet had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Pleasant Valley Vikings. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Vikings on Saturday, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

Carondelet never let Pleasant Valley on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-20.

Carondelet found their leader in sophomore Lauren Kim, who had seven digs and two aces. Natalia Markiel also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Carondelet's win bumped their record up to 23-9. As for Pleasant Valley, they moved to 22-13 with that loss, which also ended their six-match winning streak.

Carondelet didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against California on the 21st. As for Pleasant Valley, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Shasta on the 21st.
