Softball Game Preview: East Hartford Hornets vs. South Windsor Bobcats

East Hartford hasn't had much luck against South Windsor recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Hornets will take on the Bobcats at 12:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

East Hartford lost 11-5 to RHAM on Wednesday. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Eliana Tena made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kolbie Cumento, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

Meanwhile, South Windsor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They came up short against Windsor, falling 8-1.

Sienna Michaelson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

South Windsor's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for East Hartford, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

East Hartford took their win against South Windsor when the teams last played back in April by a conclusive 22-5 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
