Softball Recap: Wakefield Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Wakefield barely beat George C. Marshall the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Wakefield was the clear victor by an 11-1 margin over George C. Marshall on Tuesday. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Statesmen recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Regan Hughes made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Hughes was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Wakefield let Tatum Oliver and Reece Wilder run wild. Oliver scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Wilder scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Kira Zoeller was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
