Sudan hasn't had much luck against Ralls recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Sudan Hornets will look to defend their home field against the Ralls Jackrabbits at 11:00 a.m. Sudan will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
On Saturday, Sudan needed a bit of extra time to put away Petersburg. They came out on top against the Buffaloes by a score of 19-15. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Buffaloes recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Sudan got a massive performance out of Haylee Toscano, who scored two runs and stole Five bases. while getting on base in six of her seven plate appearances. The dominant performance gave Toscano a new career-high in stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Daniella Ramirez, who got on base in six of her seven plate appearances with three doubles, two runs, and two RBI.
Sudan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. They are 8-1-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Ralls came up short against Petersburg on Tuesday and fell 24-20.
Mercedez Alcala and Destiny Garza stepped up to the plate in a big way. Alcala went 5-for-6 with six RBI, three runs, and one double, while Garza got on base in five of her six plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That triple marked the first that Garza hit this season. Allie Hitt was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-5.
Sudan's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-7-1. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to strikeouts: they averaged an imposing 7.8 strikeouts in those games compared to only 2.93 in the others. As for Ralls, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Sudan hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .404. However, it's not like Ralls struggles in that department as they've averaged .419. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
