Volleyball Recap: Stratford Academy Beats George Walton Academy for Their Fourth Straight Win

Stratford Academy came tearing into Tuesday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the George Walton Academy Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Stratford Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-22.

Kelly Grace Perrin paced Stratford Academy's offense, picking up eight kills. Perrin got some help from Hana Dodd and her 12 assists. Dodd was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Stratford Academy's victory bumped their record up to 14-11. As for George Walton Academy, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-19.

Coincidentally, Stratford Academy and George Walton Academy will both be playing Westminster Christian Academy the next time they take the court. The Eagles will head out to face the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
