Basketball Recap: Spring Hill Takes a Loss

After soaring to 56 points the game before, Spring Hill was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They were beaten by the Warren County Pioneers & Lady Pioneers 56-29. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 332nd, while the Pioneers & Lady Pioneers are ranked 67th).

Warren County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Corban Felton led the charge by putting up 12 points and five boards. Felton continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Deashawn Adams, who posted 11 points and four steals.

Spring Hill dropped their record down to 1-8 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Warren County, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

Spring Hill is taking a road trip to take on Lincoln County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Spring Hill likes a good challenge. Warren County has already played their next contest (against Shelbyville Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
