Baseball Recap: Becker Extends Winning Streak to Four

Becker had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They came out on top against the Princeton Royal Tigers by a score of 12-9. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-3 back in April.

Becker's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Princeton, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Becker will square off against Big Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hornets' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Princeton, they will face off against Chisago Lakes Area at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
