Baseball Recap: Leilehua Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Kailua

Leilehua faced Kailua in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Mighty Mules took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Surfriders. The Mighty Mules were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Surfriders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Leilehua saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Blaze Manutai, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Leilehua's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Kailua, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

As of now, neither Leilehua nor the Surfriders have any future games scheduled.
