Baseball Game Preview: Joaquin Rams vs. Gary Bobcats

The Joaquin Rams will venture away from home to challenge the Gary Bobcats at 6:05 p.m. on Friday. Joaquin will be strutting in after a victory while Gary will be coming in after a loss.

On Tuesday, Joaquin sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over Woden. The victory continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

The team relied heavily on T.J. Hawkins, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Gary was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 10-6 to Chireno. That's two games in a row now that the Bobcats have lost by exactly four runs.

Gary now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Joaquin, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.

Joaquin was able to grind out a solid victory over Gary in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 4-0. Does Joaquin have another victory up their sleeve, or will Gary turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
